Arrange Menu: Align to Grid
Selecting “Align to Grid” from the Arrange menu (or holding the “Command” and “Shift” keys down then pressing the “L” key) immediately aligns the selected object(s) to the current grid of the active scrapbook.

The following images show the before and after of using the Align to Grid command on an object selected in the active scrapbook page:

The above Oval object was created by selecting the oval tool in the Tools Palette.

The baby picture was added using the Insert… command after selecting the Oval object.

Note that after the Align to Grid command is called, the Oval object's resize points align to grid intersections and the oval is scaled to fit within the nearest grid size (in this case a rectangle of 4 grids by 4 grids).

Special Notes:

• You can use the Undo and Redo commands to see if you like the results of the Align to Grid command.

• If you hold down the “Command” key when moving object(s) (using the Arrow tool), the object(s) “jump” to the nearest grid intersections maintaining their grid alignment.

• The Select All command allows all objects on the page of the active scrapbook o be selected for use by the Align to Grid command.

• Other topics relating to Grid: Show/Hide Grid, turn Snap to Grid on/off, and how to change the other Grid Settings.
