Arrange Menu: Align
Selecting “Align” from the Arrange menu presents the following sub-menu of alignment options for use on selected objects within the active scrapbook page.

The following summarizes each of the alignment options:

Note: With the exception of the “Make Natural Proportions” command, you must select two or more objects at the same time for these commands to become active (available). If you do not like the results of one of these alignment commands, use the Undo command to put the selected objects back into their original positions or proportions.

Left Edges (or holding the “Command” then pressing the “[” key) - This command aligns the left most edge of all selected objects. If the objects are not spaced above and below each other, this command will place the objects on top of each other.

Right Edges (or holding the “Command” then pressing the “]” key) - This command aligns the right most edge of all selected objects. If the objects are not spaced above and below each other, this command will place the objects on top of each other.

Top Edges - This command aligns the top most edge of all selected objects. If the objects are not spaced left and right of each other, this command will place the objects on top of each other.

Bottom Edges - This command aligns the bottom most edge of all selected objects. If the objects are not spaced left and right of each other, this command will place the objects on top of each other.

Horizontal Centers - This command aligns the horizontal center of all selected objects.

Vertical Centers - This command aligns the vertical center of all selected objects.

Make Same Width - This command makes the width of all selected objects the same. In this case, the selection order is important. All selected objects take on the width of the first object selected.

Make Same Height - This command makes the height of all selected objects the same. In this case, the selection order is important. All selected objects take on the height of the first object selected.

Make Natural Proportions - The below graphic shows the use of this command on a Star object. The first star was drawn tall and narrow (before) and the second star is proportional (after). This command will make a rectangle a square and an oval a circle. This command always bases the final “natural proportions” on that object dimension which will cause the object to become smaller.
