The following symbol is added to the lower right hand corner of any locked object:

This symbol is not printed when you print a scrapbook.

This command allows you to freeze the state of any objects to make sure that there are no accidental changes to your work. You must use the Unlock command if you need to make any changes to a locked object.

Special Notes:

• Holding down the “Shift” key while mouse clicking on objects allows any combination of objects, of any type, to be selected for use by the Lock command.

• A drag selection with the mouse button down selects all objects, of any type, within the drag selection area (region) for use by the Lock command.

• The Select All command allows all objects on the page of the active scrapbook to be selected for use by the Lock command.

• You can “Undo” a Lock command.

• At the bottom of the Inspector Window is a “Lock” checkbox that also allows you to lock and unlock the selected object.
