Creating backgrounds from photos or scanned images.

You can easily turn a photo or scanned image into a background.

1. First, create a rectangle object on your page to hold the background.
2. With the rectangle selected, choose Fit to Page from the Arrange menu.
3. Embed your photo by dragging and dropping it into the rectangle.
4. Use the Image Tab of the Inspector to scale your photo to fit the space.
5. Reduce the opacity as needed for a pleasing background image.
6. Lock the background so you do not change it by accident.
