Creating wall paper style backgrounds

You can easily create a “wall paper” style background (sometime referred to as a tiled image) by using patterns.

  1. First, create a rectangle object on your page to hold the background.
  2. With the rectangle selected, choose Fit to Page from the Arrange menu.
  3. Set the desired Fill Color (if any) using the Inspector - the fill color appears behind your tiled image.
  4. Select a piece of clip art (or any supported image file type) in iRemember ClipArt.
  5. Drag and drop the pattern image into the “pattern well” in the Fill Tab of the Inspector.
  6. Adjust scaling, and horizontal/vertical spacing as desired.
  7. Lock the background so you do not change it by accident.
