Miscellaneous - using gradients:

Gradients can be used to produce effects. In the example below, we use a gradient to focus the viewers attention on our subject while fading out other portions of the page. The steps to produce this effect are as follows:

1. Create a rectangle object.
2. With the rectangle selected, choose Fit to Page from the Arrange menu.
3. Using the Fill Tab of the Inspector, turn OFF the solid white fill color the object receives by default.
4. Use iRemember ClipArt, to select a gradient.
5. Embed the selected gradient in the rectangle by dragging and dropping to the “image well” in the Image Tab of the Inspector.
6. Reduce the opacity to the desired level.
